Tessellate Tee pattern – on sale now in pdf format!

The response to my Tessellate Tee pattern and accompanying Add On Pack over the past few months has been wonderful, and I’ve loved seeing so many finished versions! But many of you around the world have expressed a desire to buy it digitally rather than as part of the magazine…

So I’m pleased to announce that the original teeshirt pattern which appeared in issue 23 of Love Sewing magazine plus the digital Add-On Pack are now available as a single pdf, available now!

Sew a basic long- or short-sleeved teeshirt with banded neck and asymmetric seaming, or choose to add on thumb cuffs to the sleeves (without any hand sewing!), a hood with a special opening for your ponytail, or a zippered back pocket – perfect for cycling and hiking. Choose to add just one, or even all three features onto your teeshirt! Geometric seaming on the front and back makes this top perfect for colourblocking.

There are so many options with this pattern! You can choose to:

  • Sew long or short sleeves
  • Colourblock in two or three fabrics or sew it all in one fabric
  • Add thumb cuffs (or the thumb mitts from my Surf to Summit pattern!)
  • Add a hood with or without an opening for your ponytail
  • Add a zippered back pocket hidden into the back seaming

And on top of all that, this pattern works for exercise and casualwear, too! You can sew it up in anything from technical wicking fabrics to cotton jersey, and just about anything in between so long as it’s got a bit of stretch.

If you’ve already got the Tessellate Tee as it appeared in Love Sewing Magazine and you haven’t bought the Add-On Pack yet – don’t wait around as this will be discontinued on 1 July to avoid confusion with the full pattern going forward.

I’ll be showing you a bunch of the samples I made last Fall while developing this pattern for Love Sewing – I wasn’t well enough to model them earlier this year but the sun came out for our photoshoot in the park recently so you can really see the details and how it looks in different fabrics!
