This Marc Jacobs dress caught my eye:
As much as I loved it, even then I realised I’d love it even more if it was a top instead. So I kept it at the back of my mind all this time and made it a reality in time to wear it on New Year’s Eve! I had a bunch of black satin left over from my black vintage evening gown so I thought I’d spice it up a bit by adding some fancy satin accents to it. I think the end result has something of a 70s tuxedo feel to it.
(It’s got a lot more shape than it appears in these photos, honest! I got loads of compliments on it at the party…)
